The Lotus Symbol

I chose photographs of lotuses for the new bannner I put on my Facebook page because the lotus symbolizes the principle of reincarnation: just as one lifetime is not enough to learn everything we need to know and master all of life's lessons, so one petal is not enough to make a flower. Now in this exciting time of 2012, many of us are gathering all the knowledge we have gained throughout many lives and using it to heal our hearts, set our relationships right, and work for the common good, understanding we are all part of the web of life. HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE! Tonight the veil between the worlds is at its thinnest, and tomorrow will be All Saints' Day, when we honor our ancestors.
